Mary S. Bettye Ingram

Mary Elizabeth Bettye Steinbeck Ingram was born to Eloise Hester and Theodore Steinbeck on October 19, 1926. They preceded her in death.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a Dental Assistant for Dr. J.R. Hester and retired from Memorial Medical Center. A former member of Bull Street Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and was a circle member. A dedicated member of First Christian Church where she was a member of CWF and Jolly Hearts.
She was a member of SCCA, the Savannah Chapter of DAR and UDC #2, and the Eighth Air Force Historical Society.

She is survived by her husband, John Sheppard Ingram of 67 years. Survivors also include three children, Ann I. Parham and her husband Jim of Lakeland, FL; John Sheppard Ingram Shep and his wife Suzanne of Statesboro, GA; Walter Sanford Ingram and his wife Mary of Faulkville, GA; grandchildren, Tim Jennifer Parham, Beth Mike Moran, Carol Steve Wicorek of Lakeland, FL; Laurianne Eric McDonald of Soperton, GA; and Grant Jill Sullivan of Savannah, GA; great- grandchildren, Stephen and Brandon Wicorek; Caitlin Moran and Ella Parham all of Lakeland, FL; John Tucker McDonald of Soperton, GA; and Taylor Sullivan of Savannah, GA; brother, Ted Barbara Steinbeck Jr., of Vancouver, WA; four nephews, two nieces and many cousins.

A special thank you to Dr. Steve Malone, Dr. Anthony Sussman, Ms. Catie Bradley, and the staff of Hospice Savannah, Inc.

Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

Funeral: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2012 in the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors conducted by Reverend Billy Hester, Reverend Gary Cubbage and Reverend Heath Coker.

Burial: Bonaventure Cemetery.

Remembrances: In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to First Christian Church, 711 East Victory Drive, Savannah, Georgia 31405 or Hospice Savannah, Inc., P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, Georgia 31406.
